Notes: The frakked up Tigh vid that kept trying to distract me during my dissertation two months ago. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] explodedpen for the ever necessary handholding and reassurances :)

This is a wonderful, moving vid, a harsh and yet sympathetic view of Tigh's trials and morals. It wasn't easy to watch, and I mean that in an extremely good way. Everything he's done, Galactica, his drinking, Ellen, you pull together so well in the first three-quarters of the vid; it's like salt in a wound by the time we get to him being one of the final four. Thank you for this.

Here via a recc from [livejournal.com profile] heyiya.

This vid deserves much more feedback than this! It's beautiful and sad. As [livejournal.com profile] heyiya says, the way that you don't even introduce his Cylonness until the final section is brilliant because Saul Tigh is so much more than just that revelation. Like you, I never really thought too much about him until the start of season three, but this video shows why he's worth investing time in.

Anyway, it's great.

Here via a rec on [livejournal.com profile] bsgvidrecs.

I found this so affecting and poignant. And I find myself echoing another comment on the vid, because it was surprisingly hard to watch. I didn't expect to be hit so strongly by the weight of his experience, even with all of the things I saw him do and go through on the show. I think you did a wonderful job weaving him into the wider picture, and I know that was part of why I was so moved. Really lovely work. :}

This was rec'd over on Dreamwidth, in the fancake community, and I can see why. I know you put this up many years ago, but it's still fresh and brutally wonderful. Thank you, after all these years, for reminding me how much I loved Saul Tigh.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only person that fancake sent over here!

Here via fancake. This vid! I missed it when it was originally posted, so I'm grateful it was recc'd at fancake. I was very much a fan of Saul Tigh, to see this after all these years just told me I was not wrong. Greatly flawed as he was there was more there. I loved the bit of him crossing through the snow, alone and battered and still moving forward. What a great vid.
